I have been working as a physiotherapist for 7 years and have recently moved from Adelaide to Perth in pursuit of my Masters of Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy at Curtin University.

I enjoy working closely together with my clients to explore their problem, discover their goals and to help achieve their goals through various treatment and management strategies. I am a very hands-on physiotherapist and I understand that manual therapy is a great tool to help people with their pain and function.

I also strongly work towards empowering my clients and encouraging independence through self-management techniques, consistent exercise and ensuring my patients have a deep understanding of their pain or condition.

One of my special interests includes treating chronic lower back pain. Over the years I have seen how debilitating and painful it can be to someone’s life and how it can stop us in our tracks. I have found that a holistic approach in which we apply hands on treatment, encourage movement and address contributing factors (such as stress, lack of sleep or poor diet) provides the best results. It is very rewarding and exciting to me once I can see someone finally pick up their grandkids or lift their groceries into their car!

In my spare time I really enjoy being outside the house and going for runs along the river, being in the gym or going for a stroll along the beach.

My areas of special clinical Interest include:

Chronic lower back pain Shoulder pain/rotator cuff related pain Cervicogenic pain and headaches Jaw pain and stiffness (TMJ) Dry Needling Sporting injuries Vestibular issues (BPPV) Post-operative rehabilitation for knees/hips/shoulders Creating strength and conditioning and running programs

My journey into physiotherapy was inspired by my passion for exercise, sport, and movement while I was growing up. I have always loved being active, whether in the gym, team sports, surfing or just going for a hike in the beautiful environment.

I enjoy helping my clients re-engage with physical activity after experiencing pain and empowering them to meet their fitness goals. I have a particular interest in Clinical Pilates and am a firm believer in its benefits for symptom relief and injury prevention. I have personally experienced injuries which have prevented me from running and playing sport, and am very passionate in injury prevention through strength training and Pilates, and have found it game changing in my fitness journey

Since graduating from The University of Notre Dame, I have worked in private practice setting seeing a wide variety of clients. They have ranged from athletic kids with sporting injuries, through the aches and pains from working a sedentary job, to clients with acute injuries. I have also kept a foot in the research world through working on numerous projects and beginning a PhD in 2024 investigating neural drive to the calf muscle complex.

I particularly enjoy getting to know my clients and their individual goals and needs. I look forward to working with you to help you lead a better, healthier and more pain-free life.

Away from the clinic, you’ll often find me outdoors, going surfing or scuba diving, or in the gym.

My areas of special clinical interest include:

  • Low back pain
  • Neck pain
  • Ankle injuries
  • Knee & hip pain
  • Dry needling
  • Clinical Pilates
  • Running and sports related injuries

I became a physiotherapist because I have a passion for helping people be the best version of themselves.

Watching somebody achieve their goal is the best part of my job.

Working in private practice settings, I have treated patients with a wide range of issues using both hands-on and clinical pilates. I believe in a holistic, individualised approach to treatment and love helping patients to heal from the inside-out.

I love being physically active and believe it is an important part of our overall health. Therefore, I am passionate about assisting all my clients, whether they have a sporting injury or pelvic health concern, to return to sport, exercise and movement safely.

After having my first child, I realised the lack of support available for postnatal women and decided to undertake further training in Women’s Health Physiotherapy including a Masters in Pelvic Health at the University of Melbourne.

Outside of work I enjoy playing netball, gym workouts and being active with my two young children.

I have over 20 years of experience as a Physiotherapist in Australia, UK, and more recently in a busy private practice within the heart of bustling Hong Kong.

During this time, I have worked with a large variety of clients including elite sports people, stay-at-home mums and dads, weekend warriors, office-based workers, and women who are pre and post-partum. I have always loved the variety of clientele that I treat, and I thoroughly enjoy building a relationship with all of my patients and working through their goals.

My interest in Physiotherapy began as a young athlete myself, having competed at a state level in athletics and having sustained my own fair share of injuries. I learned the benefits early on of manual therapy and exercise based-rehabilitation in the recovery of sporting injuries, and how useful physiotherapy can be for the athlete needing and wanting to return to their chosen sport.

In my career, I have been fortunate enough to travel extensively within South East Asia with international sporting teams, and I have enjoyed the challenge and excitement that goes along with working within international sport. However, I get just as much enjoyment from working with non-sports clients who need to overcome injury in order to achieve their own personal goals or those who walk into the clinic just wanting to improve how they feel and function day to day.

I still run regularly and compete when I can in road and trail races. It’s my passion and treating running-related injuries is one of my special interests, along with looking after my two beautiful energetic children, Ava and Lee.

My areas of special clinical interest include:

  • running-related injuries
  • sports injuries eg. marathons, tennis, golf, rugby, soccer, swimming
  • back pain
  • neck pain/headaches
  • nerve-related pain eg sciatica
  • hip/groin injury
  • knee injury and pain
  • shoulder pain and injury
  • office-based injuries
  • pre and post-surgery rehabilitation eg ACL, shoulders
  • issues related to being pre and post-childbirth
  • Dry needling
  • Clinical Movement Therapy – private and small groups

I love working as a Physiotherapist and it gives me great joy to see my patients walking out of the clinic looking and feeling better, both physically and mentally.

(Jeremy treats at Nedlands on Mon, Weds, Fri & Claremont on Tues)

For more than 15 years I’ve been treating people from all walks of life.

From elite athletes to new mothers to desk-bound workaholics. I’ve seen people searching for help to relieve their aches and pains, and frustrations with their inability to perform to expectations.

I’m passionate about providing a better way to service the community – this is why I started Wisdom Physiotherapy in Nedlands.

Over the years I’ve refined my Physiotherapy and Clinical Pilates techniques. I grew up in Nedlands and completed two degrees from Curtin University and the University of Western Australia, I then gained experience working in Kalgoorlie, the Sunshine Coast, Melbourne and Perth.

I enjoy working with a diverse client base to improve function and reduce pain. I like to find out what is causing the pain and then treat it to address both short term and long term outcomes.

I have an open mind when it comes to my clients, everyone is different and requires a unique approach. I have a strong appetite for implementing evidence-based techniques such as the neuromuscular theory of DMA Clinical Pilates with functional rehabilitation and dry needling.

I understand the importance of achievable goals and a streamlined program, so I take my time to design and communicate your optimal journey to wellness.

I treat the body as a whole. I find clients have the most success with treatment when we work together to improve the whole body, which is why I love to use the movement of Clinical Pilates.

I’m particularly interested in improving posture and muscle control to relieve and prevent back pain. My areas of clinical interest include:

  • Shoulder pain
  • Chronic back pain
  • Cervicogenic (tension) headaches
  • Postural issues
  • Jaw clenching (TMJ)
  • Neck stiffness
  • Pre & post surgery
  • Vertigo
  • Clinical Pilates – private & small groups

With nearly 30 years of experience as a Physiotherapist including 25 years as a Certified Pilates Practitioner, and 10 years as a Registered Yoga Teacher / Certified Yoga Therapist, I have worked extensively in movement therapy with a broad range of clients including West Australian Ballet, Fremantle Dockers and Olympic athletes.

Within physiotherapy I strive to blend an all-encompassing holistic approach, which considers my clients’ general wellbeing, lifestyle and daily activities, with evidence-based scientific principles, including a detailed physical and biomechanical assessment and treatment. I then tailor individual treatment programmes with a large focus on exercise therapy, to help people meet their health and fitness goals. This could take the form of supervised Pilates sessions in our fully equipped studio, one-on-one Yoga Therapy sessions or home exercise programmes.

One of the peaks of my professional career was achieving the title of Specialist Sports Physiotherapist, and Fellow of the Australian College of Physiotherapists (FACP), with a sub-specialty in Dance Physiotherapy, in 2007. This distinction represents the highest level of clinical expertise a physiotherapist can achieve in Australia. The Specialist training and examination process is the most rigorous post-Masters degree clinical programme for physiotherapy in the world.

Since completing my own Specialist training I have mentored and examined other Specialist Physiotherapist candidates undertaking this process in both Sports and Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy. I am also an experienced educator, having conducted numerous lectures and workshops for undergraduate and postgraduate physiotherapists, Pilates instructors and professional dancers.

My particular areas of interest within physiotherapy are:

  • Dance and Performing Arts
  • Sports
  • Hypermobility, EDS and fibromyalgia
  • Chronic and complex injury management
  • Chronic fatigue and ME
  • Exercise rehabilitation, conditioning and performance enhancement using Clinical Pilates and Yoga Therapy

I have over 12 years of experience working as a physiotherapist, having worked across both the public health and private practice setting. Over the following years, I gained further qualifications in Clinical Pilates, Dry Needling, and level 1 and 2 of Watson headaches technique. Still not feeling satisfied with my level of knowledge while treating musculoskeletal conditions, I went on to complete my certificate of Orthopaedic Manual Therapy in 2017 and then my Masters of Clinical Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy at Curtin University in 2018. This has given me a greater understanding of diagnostic and treatment techniques for common and more complex problems.

I get particularly excited in identifying the underlying cause of a client’s pain, and the management of complex pain and injury. Using the various skills I have learnt over the years, I am able to tailor the treatment to the individual client, addressing their individual goals and needs.

My passion for physiotherapy developed growing up with parents in the medical field. My dad would often share stories of his work day while having dinner which I was always fascinated by. My sisters never quite shared my same passion and were horrified when I would bring my anatomy books to the dinner table while studying physio.

Outside of work, my passions include sailing, scuba diving (preferably tropical warm water locations), my cat Marci, and catching up with friends and family (preferably with wine). I also enjoy getting out in my small garden and attending Pilates.

My areas of special clinical interest include:

  • Neck and back pain
  • Headaches and migraines nerve-related pain eg sciatica
  • Hip/groin pain
  • Knee pain
  • Pre and post-surgery rehabilitation eg ACL, total hip and knee replacements
  • BPPV and neck related dizziness
  • Dry needling
  • Clinical Movement Therapy – private and small groups
